CubaArchive.org: Keeping Track of Bloodshed in Castro’s Cuba

By Brandon Martin

The Cuba Archive is a project committed to recording bloodshed committed by the Castro regime in communist Cuba.  The site includes reports describing an overall picture of the political terror in Cuba and a database documenting information about individual cases.

Cuba is still used as an example of a utopian communist state by many on the Left.  It is difficult to discover and document inconvenient facts in a closed society like Cuba, but the work of Cuba Archive helps to show that Castro’s Regime has killed thousands in its drive to suppress freedom.  This is human rights work that should interest young conservatives and libertarians who have come-of-age in an era where communist states are discussed in the media too often as lucrative trading partners with “alternative political systems” and not the human rights tragedies that they are.
