John M. Olin Online Lecture Library: Whalen on Richard Weaver
ByRichard Weaver wrote a book called “Ideas Have Consequences.” One of the consequences of the book is the traditionalist branch of the conservative movement we know today.
Weaver was a brilliant defender of western civilization, but while we see and hear the consequences of his ideas today, we rarely see or hear direct discussion of the ideas themselves. ISI recently released an excellent free lecture from Professor David Whalen of Hillsdale College in which Whalen discusses Weaver and his ideas directly.
