Seasteading Institute: Dreaming of Freedom on the High Seas

It’s like something form a Robert Heinlen or Ayn Rand novel. A group of liberty loving engineers distressed at the growing centralization of power and the growth of coercive government in their country build a terrific man-made island of their own, sail off with their loved ones and compatriots, and establish a free country anew in international waters.

Milton Friedman’s grandson, Patri Friedman, and PayPal Founder, Peter Theil have joined visionary Wayne in founding an organization to further study on whether, through small, incremental steps, that science-fiction-esque scenario can become a reality.
