Make Your Voices Heard!: April 15, 2009
ByThere are already numerous photographs of early tax day tea parties online. We’ve been up most of the night talking with excited people and helping out where we can.
This is a day to make your voices heard. Some tea party events feature spectacular speakers and organized marches, but the tea party movement is not about top-down control or attending lectures. Today is not the day for listening politely.
If you are looking for an opportunity to post your thoughts, please feel free to comment here, but you may also want to look to see if PJTV and Cellecast are still looking for callers to report live from Tea Parties. We aren’t involved, but we like the sound of bringing grassroots reporting to the tea party movement. Also, for pictures of tea parties from all across this great nation, check out Eric P. Platham’s Blog.
This afternoon, we will be in Bakersfield, California — one of the most conservative locales in the otherwise Left-leaning state of California — for the Bakersfield Tax Day Tea Party. We’ll bring a video camera and give people the opportunity to tell us what they think about big government and excessive spending and voice their own concerns. If you are a citizen blogger, we urge you to provide the same opportunity at your local tea party.
Have fun!
Hey Brandon,
Thanks for the link to my page. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a wasted effort or not, but the blog has received hundreds of hits. Keep up the good work

Great Work, Eric. We’ll look forward to following your blog in the future!
