Bad Judgment at BoA: Bank of America Should be Shamed for Their Harsh Treatment of a Woman Mourning the Death of a Local Soldier
ByHere is a note to people in positions of authority: Follow the rules, but don’t sacrifice your judgment and common sense in order to strictly adhere to them no matter what. Compliance with rules is important, but just keep in mind that there may be a higher law that outranks your local code book.
We guess that the local branch manager shamed in this excellent talk radio moment didn’t hate America, but her refusal to think twice about higher concerns before exercising her authority — if she acted within her authority, at all — should embarras Bank of America. It is shameful for a bank that depends on the goodwill of Americans for the success of its branding and on the generosity of American taxpayers for many of its competitive advantages (See TARP) to take such a strong position against American troops and people grieving losses at home.
