Bill Gertz: National Security Watchdog

Yesterday, Admiral Michael Mullen told a conference that China is developing military capabilities that are very much focused on the United States.

There’s not a lot of official, straight-from-the-horses-mouth talk about how China is spending the influx of foreign investment dollars and treasure won from an economy that has grown at a frantic pace, but there is evidence to suggest that China is ramping up to become a rival military superpower. For those who don’t want to experience another cold (or hot) war, this is disturbing news.

It’s also a story that Washington Times columnist and investigative reporter, Bill Gertz has been covering with determination and skill since we started reading and following him… and it’s been a little over a decade now.
